I'm back in blue & white
Couldn't be happier with the Mets new front office. Sandy Alderson is a pro, and by all accounts a grown up who doesn't even carry a switchblade. Terry Collins shows lots of fire and heart, and obviously expects his ballplayers to perform.
What will all this mean next season? I doubt it will mean too much to W-L bottom line. But it will mean I'm happy to buy tickets and go to games again, and can end my self-imposed ban on (in some small way) funding the franchise.

I agree with ending the ban, and am willing to watch them and root for them again. I hope they drop dead weight players like Castillo.
I do like Collins' fire - the clubhouse could definitely use a swift kick in the collective ass. However, I am concerned that his overall record is a very underwhelming .500.
It will take at least 2-3 years to turn this team around, in my opinion, especially given how strong the strength of Phillies and Braves. But as far as I'm concerned, I'm always willing to watch and root for them as long as they play hard and play smart.
But enough of that, it's still J-E-T-S time.
My main point is that, while I'd love the team to win now, I've been a Mets fan my whole life for a lot of mediocre to crappy teams. I'm willing to support a bad team that doesn't act like a bunch of ghetto thugs. I'm just glad we moved the trash out for some guys with a good attitude.
Though what's Dogg going to do now that he's lost his reference point for "I'll cut you"?
the way I see it is we`re not gonna spend any money this year but we could hopefully pull off a trade. I do have I thought though. A move that would cut us loose of CasTillo and bring in some much needed leadership. 3 year contract for 15 to 18 mill a year. Jeter. plus it would stickit to the Jankees. Imagine he gets his 3000 hit as a Met. HA
That would be so sweet. I would love stealing Jeter for his 3000th, but there is no way Derek or the Yankees would allow that to happen.
No team will take Castillo. For any amount of $, players, or anything else.
