Viva la France!
France's days of being a bunch of dandies might be over soon.. Might become much more useful ally to US.

I've been enjoying the French race: it's had a lot of substance in it. I caught a good bit of the debate between Sarko and Sego on the telly (C Span) and they were really going back and forth. Sarko would, from what I heard of his answers on the economy, a liberal Democrat in the US. Segolene would have to run in some kook left-wing 3rd party.
Economics aside, though, it sounds as though Sarko is making some explicit statements about (to boil it down to the dumb language that Fredo understands) "France for the French."
A little bit of pride in their history would seem to be a good starting point for a nation in danger of rotting from within. The French have already saved Christendom from Islam once, at Tours. Now I'd be satisfied if they could save themselves. Not that Sarko needs to be a Martel, but it wouldn't hurt.
