"We were just tired of being at the White House"
So sayeth the new President, only two weeks into the job, explaining why he took time out to visit a charter school yesterday.
Wow. If two weeks is draining, what happens in a month? Or 6 months? Or a year, when the recession is still here, national security concerns are mounting, N. Korea keeps firing long-range test missiles, Iran has developed a nuke, Israel and Palestine are still fighting, ...?

And of course, let's not forget the tension of trying to deliver on his promise to make all people happy all the time. This is the most short-term example: the "Buy American" clause in his infrastructure plan. Either he keeps it in and pisses off European trading partners (who are threatening legal action), or he takes it out and REALLY pisses off the unions who put him in office.
Maybe he'll leave the job so he can go back to truly meaningful work, like community organizing?
