Awesome, bro. I was gonna post this myself but saw you already had it up.
One of the great parts of this story is that Jack, if you can measure a man based on how the people who know him well (family/friends/co-workers) feel about him, is one of the absolute best guys around. I get the sense that he'd run through walls for the people he cares about (and hey, he's a firefighter, so I guess for people he doesn't even know!) and vice-versa.
