Seeing the Goebel beer container made me think if I ever drank one with a roof over my head. Many high school memories, alas.
Figures this is Da Yoopers, Protium. WTF is a Goebel?
BTW, MP, when are we getting you to deer camp?
As for this song, Beasty, the "second week of deer camp" is kind of like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny to me. I'm still dreaming it might be real.
Ask Caribou or Beetz--they might know more about it.
Goebel was a Detroit brewery and sponsor of Tiger baseball. Strohs bought them out and Strohs was bought out by Pabst. Discontinued five or so years ago. I only ever saw it sold by the case. Cheap beer. Perfect for camping.
