Are you kidding me?

This broadcast beats "boom goes the dynamite" for all-time worst sports broadcasts, only because pam ward is supposed to be a professional announcer for ESPN. Listen to her calling this Michigan State game, and just sit back and marvel at her ineptness. Listen to the whole clip, she really closes strongly at the end.

So many gems, so little space to blog them all!

Although I'd probably pick her closing line as the best overall, my nomination for best subtle-but-still-ridiculous comment is when she mentions how they really love Michigan here... at Michigan State.

Couldn't find a link to it, but John Sterling had a winner the other day: some dude crushes a ball to right and Abreu moves over like he's got a bead on a routine fly. Apparantly both Abreu and Sterling lost the ball because it was a not-even-close homer. However, John makes the call that Abreu makes the catch and about 6 seconds later realizes his mistake. He then shifts the blame to Abreu for not seeing the ball and fooling him into thinking it was caught.

What an ass-clown...
