Caribou, anyone?

So the old-timers seem dead set on a Caribou hunt in the perma-frost.  Some potential guides linked below.  Comments desired from non-hunters and hunters alike.

Here's one that looks a bit more cost realistic: $1700 Canadian for a 3 night, 4 day trip (3 days of hunting).

If these guys grumble about getting up early for a 10 minute car ride and a quarter mile stroll to a nice comfy ground blind in 40-60 degree weather, how's 4-5 hours on a snowmobile in sub-zero temps going to work?

Sounds completely possible. Get up about 10 to 7. Start making pancakes. Put coffee on. Our and on the snowmobiles by 8:30. Watch out caribou the Nanook camp is a comin.

Well at least I think it's too cold outside up there for a squirrel in the pie.

At least the squirrel poop would be frozen and easier to remove...

I would predict that there would be significantly less nekkidness as well.
