Good news
McCain 51, Clinton 41. McCain 49, Obama 42. Or so says latest Rasmussen poll.
Wright scandal has hit Obama's #s hard. The only problem is, I'd be surprised if it's a permanent drop. Voters seem to have awfully short memories these days, and my guess is he could easily recover from this by Election Day. The good news is that McCain continues to have highest favorability ratings of all 3, and in fact is the only candidate who has higher favorable than unfavorable ratings.

Election Day? He could recover by Memorial Day.
Someone's going to have to remind voters of Obama's contradicitions regarding his affiliation with Rev. Wright, and McCain seems not to be headed in that direction with all the talk of a "respectful campaign."
"I can no more disown him [Rev. Wright] than I can disown my white grandmother..."
Two problems with this statement. First, why couldn't you disown your grandmother? If she was a racist, vitriol-spewing hate-monger, why not?
Second, and more importantly, while you don't choose your grandmother, you do choose the person whose services you attend for 20+ years, who marries you, who baptizes both your kids, who serves as a campaign adviser, and who serves as a spiritual mentor. And Obama's choice speaks volumes (or at least it does now that the videos have been found!)
BTW, Hillary might do McCain's dirty work for him. Apparently she has re-taken a sizable lead (7 points) over Obama. Just when it looked like Obama had this thing sewn up...
Speaking of which, this is how you play the game. Rather than having Hillary directly attack Obama on the issue, you have her supporters do it.
My guess is that at least half, if not more, of all controversial comments made by a person's supporters about other candidates is done so with that person's knowledge, or at least coordination by that person's campaign.
