This chicken tastes so...familiar
In this article, we discover the FDA is approving cloned animals for our food supply. Two questions:
1) If the animals have identifical genes, won't that make our food supply more vulnerable to disease and death?
2) Is this the Bush Administration's FDA?

This is one of those interesting topics that has cross-over appeal to both (religious) conservatives and tree-huggers, also like some environmental issues. Slippery slope between cloning animals and cloning humans. One could argue that we already are successful at differentiating laws for humans vs. animals (that is, we allow slaughter of animals for food but except for abortion do not allow murder of humans). However, it seems hard to see why we need to clone animals. I doubt this will meet with public approval, fortunately a large majority are supposedly against it.
