Panetta
Good luck retaining the confidence of your people and serving as an effective CIA leader with this letter out there.
"Recently you testified that you have determined that top CIA officials have concealed significant actions from all members of Congress, and misled members for a number of years from 2001 to this week," said the letter, signed by Eshoo and six other House Democrats...
No surprise, the letter was headed by a House Dem in CA. My guess is this is a smear leak to force Panetta out of his job; looks like Pelosi will win this round.

It seems to me that the language used back and forth never seems to match.
Pelosi says she was never told about the use harsh techniques.
Panetta at that time stated she was informed about the harsh techniques.
With the careful difference in language that seems to get introduced in politics, it's certainly possible for everyone to be telling the truth.
However, given that administrations past are documented to have visited the CIA and apply pressure, it's very likely that officials were reacting to the will of former officials from time to time.
Anyhow, good luck finding the truth in today's world.
