Well, we've come full circle. Now Indians

are suing to preserve an Indian team name and mascot (in this case, Fighting Sioux), and the PC police (in this case, the NCAA) is requiring a team to drop the name even though the Indians like it.

WTH?

I remember there was something similar with FSU a few years ago, but the Seminole tribe fully supported FSU and they were able to keep their name and mascot.

Last year, St. John's was looking for another new mascot. They had 6 crappy options so I sent in a write-in ballot for "Redmen."

I have a feeling that was the overwhelming percentage of votes, but hey, F democracy, right?

Really? A new mascot? That's strange, because Thunder is such a great mascot.

I still have my old Redmen sweatshirt and cap, which I intend to keep wearing until all the fibers disintegrate.

My mascot was a Fighting Dutchman and then a Spartan. NCAA isn't after them.
