I can't watch these debates anymore
I just can't watch our country spiral downwards towards socialism lite.
But from the 5 minutes I caught of this debate tonight, I can't help but feel like the Dems have their best and brightest on the stage, and we do not.
Let's be honest: Mitt would have been a much stronger candidate, particularly in light of capital markets blowing up.

If Obama wins you can drop the lite. First thing he'll do when he gets into office is say that he's going to have to raise taxes even higher than he originally targeted because "the last administration left things in a far worse mess than I could have anticipated."
No question, Mitt would've been much stronger. I can't help but think that if Mitt were running he'd have a solid lead now. Contrast Mitt with Obama on economics, considering that Mitt could legitimately make the claim that if Obama wins the presidency, then his first day in office will also be the VERY FIRST DAY he has ever had executive responsibility for managing a budget. Is that really what you want in the midst of this economy?
Anyway, what has happened to the Republican party? Where are all the good debaters we used to have, like Reagan, Gingrich, Buckley, ??? This party is a watered down shell of its former self. We need strong, clear leadership again.
