Dem plan of attack against McCain

Can be found here. Interestingly, if he has repeatedly said that economics is his weak point, and he needs an economically-strong VP, this would seem to lead directly towards Mitt. That, coupled with Mitt's good showing among the conservatives in the Republican base, could be a great ticket. Unfortunately, I think the animosity between the two, particularly from McCain towards Mitt, will prevent that. I for one would be a lot more comfortable with Mitt as VP than many of the other choices. On the other hand, given that Mitt has always been a leader in whatever he does, I'm sure he'd find it difficult to take a backseat (although it would position him nicely in 2012 if McCain loses or 2016 if he wins). As well, McCain might not want someone who's such a strongly opinionated leader as his VP, potentially butting heads with him on policy issues.

Let's face facts and accept reality here: Mitt's done.

He's not getting the VP nod and he's shown that he's unelectable on a national scale.

Look, I voted for the guy in the primary but "it's over Johnny."

Time for us all to move on...

If he wants any kind of future in politics on the big stage, he should move to Utah and run for Senate there.

Otherwise he's going to just fade into obscurity...

If deep down the primary opposition to him was being Mormon, then you're right, he's done.

Hate to mix blogs here, but at least we'll always have Johan! It's almost too much to handle in one month: Hatriots blow the perfect season; Mets land Johan; and Clemens is being buried.

I've got a conspiracy theory about the Super Bowl but I'm not sure which blog it should be posted on...

I do too, seeing as how a record amount of money was lost by Vegas.. I'm thinking Belicheat, Brady and co., having already won a bunch of rings, decided to win some cash. Bet the giants straight up. Either way, it's nearly impossible to describe my happiness at watching those d-bags go down.

BTW, gotta love that the Dems are going to blow all the cash they've been raising on fighting each other. Hopefully their war chests are heavily depleted by the time they pick a nominee to face McCain. although it sounds like Dean is already trying to push the party into picking one behind the scenes to avoid this bloodbath.
