Time of death - call it

I'm calling it for the Hillary campaign. Latest Rasmussen poll shows Obama is solid favorite over her, among almost all groups. That, plus the poll results below tell me that the superdelegates are going to support Obama.

In general election match-ups, Obama leads John McCain 46% to 42% while McCain leads Clinton 48% to 41%.

Also, Bill's first campaign manager just came out in support of Obama. "All your hopes and dreams, gone."

Funny, I just saw two polls showing Hillary with a double digit lead in both OH and PA. If she can carry those two states and TX, she's still very much alive (haven't seen a single TX poll, but CW is she has a good chance there b/c of the big hispanic vote).

Maybe there's still an erratic heart beat?

Just to put some #'s to it, the RCP averages in TX and OH (the two must win states for Clinton on 3/4) are currently:

Ohio: Clinton +17.3
Texas: Clinton +10.3

If those numbers hold up, Hillary will buy a reprive at least until Pennsylvania in April. At which point another win would put her nearly back into a dead heat with Obama.

It's tough to imagine she could go 3-for-3 the way the momentum is stacking up against her, but until the polls say so, I can't call her dead yet. Despite the fact I figured she was done a week ago.
