Otherwise, how can you explain this man has a long-term coaching contract for the Domers? Just thought I would throw that out there with less than 2 months until Sept. 1st.

Leave the dark-side, Fredo. If you can't cheer for Michigan, can you at least go for a Jesuit school?
No question, it's been a rough period. But then again, at least we didn't lose to Appalachian St...
What would you have the Dame do, SW? There aren't any coaches left in West Virginia to pilfer.
App State, for as painful as it was to sit through, ensured that Michigan hired an outsider. As for Dame ... next time a coach wins one game against a marginally ranked team (Michigan in '05, who finished 7 - 5 that year), and then almost beats a team known for making it closer than their talent should allow (USC '05), don't salivate from the mouth and offer him a contract for more than 10,000,000 dollars! I would start there. Then, I would hire an AD with a brain who can handle such a high profile position and conduct a coaching search with a little more professionalism (Michigan could use this, too). Finally, move South Bend to somewhere other than Indiana, and the coaching pool would expand who would want to coach there.
I still say, go Jesuit.
