Paging Linderman, Protium, DC!

C'mon, get in on the fun with your primary predictions. The person who does the best wins a free car.

Okay, I'm crawling out from under my rock. I'll give the Michigan prediction. We've got the most screwed up primary in the history of democracy because a) several Democrats are boycotting Michigan due to the change of date; b) Republicans will only give us 50% of our usual delegates at the convention; c) at the polls, you need to declare whether you want a Republican ballot or a Democrat ballot. Due to a and b, lots of politicos are predicting that voters will purposefully cross party lines in order to vote for weaker candidates - especially Democrats voting Republican. I think this will happen, leading to Clinton and Ron Paul. This is interesting because Romney should normally walk away with it - his dad is a former Michigan governor and his brother is on the MSU board of trustees and he's been the only candidate running ads so far.

Nationally, I think we'll end up with Clinton and Huckabee. I do think Huckabee is the only Republican who can defeat Clinton. He rubs people the right way, has a natural trustworthiness about him, and is this election's Jimmy Carter. I also think that personality will play a big role in the swing voters regardless of the issues.

That's what I like to see: someone with enough confidence NOT to go chalk!

Welcome back, MP. Hope all's well for our only elected official!
